eseia Student Camp 2020 'Designing the Regional Biobased Economy: Biorefinery, Bioenergy and Circularity'

Join our interdisciplinary student camp and work alongside our experts to develop solutions for real-life challenges of the regional bio-based economy with a focus on biorefinery, bioeconomy and circularity. At the UTwente Designglab, you will expand your network and meet professionals from various disciplines.

eseia International Summer School on Climate Friendly Bioenergy Solutions

When: 14 - 25 September 2020

Where: Savonia UAS, FI

The eseia International Summer School 2020 focuses on Climate Friendly Bioenergy Solutions in Eastern Finland and integrates an interdisciplinary programme conducted by the eseia member organisation Savonia UAS at Varkaus and Kuopio, and the partner organisations UEF at Kuopio and Joensuu and Karelia UAS at Joensuu.

The eseia ISS 2020 will cover topics such as:

  • Soil improvement and circular fertilizer products based on industrial side streams and their processed mixtures;
  • microbe-based biorefining, accelerated composting system for biomasses, slow pyrolysis, and biogas production;
  • possibilities to utilize ash for fertilizers, earth construction materials and composites included in Biosphere topics.

PhD, master student or young professionals in the field of bioenergy are welcome to register. Applicants must send an email to including a motivation letter and CV by May 2020. More information on the training fee, accommodation and other costs will be provided on this website.
